Dr. Guillermo Alexandro Hernández is a pianist, composer, and passionate educator who believes music has the power to inspire and connect people of all ages. He is the Music Director of Vivo Professional Music School, where he helps leads a team of dedicated teachers and works closely with students to help them grow in confidence, artistry, and creativity.
As a composer, Dr. Hernández’s music has been performed across the United States and Mexico, ranging from large-scale orchestral works to intimate arrangements of beloved hymns and folk songs. His works have been commissioned by ensembles, colleges, and churches, and reflect both his classical training and love of cultural traditions.
With nearly over two decades of teaching experience, Dr. Hernández has taught everyone from young beginners to advanced college musicians. He holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory and Composition from Kent State University, a Master’s degree from Baylor University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Florida Southern College. More than anything, he finds joy in helping students discover their own musical voice and a lifelong love of music.
