Dr. Paige Wang is an opera singer from Taiwan, who earned her Doctoral degree from university of Texas at Austin.
In 2016, after earning her bachelor’s degree from University of Taipei, Dr. Wang embarked on her journey to New York City, where she pursued a master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music under the mentorship of Mignon Dunn. During her time in New York, her vocal repertoire spanned various genres, including classical, pop,
musical theater, and jazz. She was an active performer not only in the United States but also in Canada, Switzerland, China, and her hometown of Taipei.
In 2019, Dr. Wang enrolled in the doctoral program in opera performance at the University of Texas at Austin. During her doctoral program, she conducted in-depth research into specialized vocal instruction, achieving notable educational outcomes in collaboration with her mentor, Prof. Darlene Wiley, particularly in the integration of vocal music and technology.
The year 2022 marked a significant chapter as Dr. Wang joined the G&S Music Troupe in Austin. She played the role of Mrs. Sangazur in “The Magician” and later assumed the lead role in “Carmen.” Her remarkable journey culminated in May 2023 when she successfully earned her Doctorate in Opera Performance.
