A native of South Korea, HaEun Yang started playing piano at the age of 5. Prior to coming to the United States, she attended the Sun Hwa Arts School where focuses on learning music and art. While she was studying in South Korea, Ms.Yang show her musical talent at the numerous competition and got the first place at the Guri Youth Artist Competition and the Sun Hwa Music Competition.
After came to America, Ms.Yang has been a top prizewinner at numerous competitions including the Kuleshov International Piano Competition, Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Competition (MTNA), the Missouri Music Teachers Association state honors audition (MMTA), the St. Louis Young Artist Piano Competition and the Fite Young Artist Piano Competition. She is also a winner of the Missouri State University Concerto Competition where she performed with the MSU Orchestra and a finalist of the Coeur d’Alene National Young Artist Competition in Washington.
Ms. Yang finished her bachelor’s degrees at the Missouri State University as a full-tuition scholarship recipient and currently she is pursuing the Master’s degree in Piano Performance at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston with Mrs. Nancy Weems also as an full-tuition scholarship recipient. Ms.Yang teaches class piano and group piano courses as a teaching assistant at the Moores School of Music. She has been teaching actively as a private and group piano lesson teacher and she found her passion when she teaches.
